You are right to highlight the problem .I really appreciate the hard work the moderators are doing in cleaning up the mess but my gutfeeling is that is always the same people. There  is a whole list of moderators how many are still on the forum how many visit it daily or take the trouble to help in cleaning it up?

My thanks to the guys and girls who try to keep this broken ship floating  :) .

Indeed it is annoying, this might be of use if it is the notifications that bother you and you have firefox.

My script runs in A_AhkVersion:=1.1.22.07, get the latest version at http://ahkscript.org/download/

I would say there are 3 people who clean* stuff up on a daily basis. Me being one of them.

*Cleanup: including moving topics to correct sections, such as this topic, which was originally posted on Ask for Help.

is there some way to perhaps set that a User cannot create more than one topic every hour or half hour or something? That would slow them down alot

That would also hinder other users.

I can post a lot more than that.

yes I post a lot more than that as well, but for the most part how many topics do you create in a half-hour? if you had a few topics that are being refreshed because they are being view that is one thing, but creating topics that kludge up the forum is something else entirely

On another forum I frequent they have a "New members reply here to get approved." thread. This allows moderators to approve people before posting in all forums. Not sure this would be helpful here, I just thought I mention it.

We had a quite powerful Anti Spam Feature in the other board. I'm pretty sure once we will shift towards the new forum software that this problem will be solved.

We do? do you mean GeekDudes bot on irc which notifies us IRC'ers of every new post (including spam), which lets us handle most spam in less than a minute? :p

Although there is anti-spam on that (and this) site, a ton still gets through.

Edit: it's not only irc'ers that delete spam, others do too.
