Hello,

I saw that some people are searching for multiple-mouse support.
A few days ago I found a driver called CPNmouse driver. ( http://cpnmouse.sourceforge.net ) It is Open Source and it supports multiple mice, each with there own cursor.

Normally it is intended for use with new applications specially written for this driver... but they also released an application "ordinary.exe" that makes it possible to use it with older programs. Maybe this can become an intresting thing in co-use with autohotkey?

I also think the driver can be rewritten as a CPNkeyboard driver and support multiple keyboards with different functions... It is open source,
so maybe sombody can try that?

Greetings,

Dennis

Thanks for the link. I can think of several uses for multiple mice: Project collaboration on huge displays, gaming, and as a remote control (especially for wireless mice).

I've made a note to look into it more deeply.

Only thing about CPNMouse that makes it unusable for me is that when you move one cursor it resets both, so you can't really use them independently of each other. I wanted to be able to have two monitors and two mice/keyboards so that two people could use the computer at the same time...

But you wont be able to have two activated programs at the same time... only one program is on top, and i wont bet that it would change with two mice. ....i habe the same problem.

U need to install the driver on BOTH mice, I had the same thing happen to me but I read online that you have to install the cpnmouse driver on both of them, then it works.

Sorry if this is off topic but thought I'd post here as I also considered CPNmouse while looking for a solution to my problem. I need to control one PC with two monitors and 2 mouse/keyboard.

The solution for controlling 2 mice was provided by a paid product called Multimouse, however this was actually designed specifically for collaboration purposes that do not require each user to input from their respective mouse at the same time.

I am looking to have up to 24 minimized screens on 1 side of the PCs split screen and then (hopefully) by use of Autohotkey make it possible for the user of that screen to move selected windows to the second monitor where it can then be controled by the second user/mouse until such time as it's passd back again by use of autohotkey.

I would be happy to explain in more detail what I need if anyone would be interested in helping me out :))

In the mean time since I'm a novice with Autohotkey I shall be off to read and practice tutorials, please don't hesitate to contact me if you have ideas/suggestions or can provide hands on assistance.

Thanks very much
Craig
