Thanks toralf! Again a good answer to a general "dumb" question. At least a dumb according the ppl on the AutoIT forum (I didn't ask that exact question. Can you believe I had the audacity to ask Jon (Admin) about one of his policies. Such blasphemy! A couple of his lap dogs jumped on me.) I think I have enough information to see that I need to use AHK. At least the forum is a much nicer, mature place to exist.

Thanks!

AHK VS AU3...

I say AHK because of the support provided. If you get stuck and cannot be provided good help, your time is wasted and your still stuck. I learned Autoit first and found that as someone new to scripting I was made fun of more often than helped at thier forum.

Got the same treatment! Someone that had been in from almost the beginning didn't want to be adult just a jacka$$. Thanks for the reply. Like I said before I had read your reply I think I have come to the same decision as you have. I have not needed treeview just yet but I am sure that it can/will be developed before long.

Chris was the first one to reply to my question and that is impressive. I know he probably does not have time to do that (especially as AHK gains more users) but it was nice and appreciated. The lapdogs over at AutoIT seem to eager to jump on anyone questioning thier god.

While I've to accept your statement(s) as they seems to be based on your personal experience - I'm not happy that you've used that Auto(..)IT expression several times.

I'd not be amused if the AHK forum should be established that way as a platform to start fighting the AU3 community.

Please edit your postings to prevent that something like this will happen. Thx for your understanding. 8)

You are right Bobo! My apologies to all! I was mad because of the treatment from some at AU3 forum. I should not have acted like that!
Thanks!

BoBo,
Can you delete that last post containing what you asked me to get rid of. I edited the first post. The last post I was not logged in and I can not edit a guest post. I think I only used it 2 times.

Sorry about that and thanks for your help!

Hi aaron,

I hope you are not pissed, because you are asked to adhere to forum policies here - it seems you have some problems with that. I hope you will get better support here than from AutoIT forum!

Since he has appologized and cleaned up his posts, I do not see a reason why you bash on him. It seams to me that he has realized his rude behaviour and I'm sure he will take care of how he writes his posts the next time.

I fully agree on that/dem stimme ich vorbehaltlos zu !

... and btw, to diss aaron by using a nick/signature like Aarons Dad made it a little hard for me to accept such a statement (even if it would have been given by an AU3 fan).

Cheers,
BoBo (aka Mr. Sensitive )

I agree with Bobo's earlier encouragement to not turn this forum (even General Chat area) in to a fight between AHK and AU3. The "Guest" poster is probably someone from the AU3 forum. I have since deleted my posts from there and requested that they even delete my user id since I won't need it anymore. I even signed up with the same name over here. I am not trying to hide anything just get on with things.

It's kind of interesting that someone from au3 would follow me over here.

for those who don't know... au3 forum members (many, not all) keep a close watch on this forum.

Sure? Why don't you tell the guys here, now that you deleted all youre posts, that you compared on member of the forum with Hitler because you did not like what he wrote.

Well, guys. You better take care what to say and what not. If Aaron does not like it you will be in serious trouble !!

Thanks for your comment. I can't and will not judge them.
Untill now he has been willing to adjust to the ethic of this forum. And it seams that he is more then happy with it.
I see no reason why he shouldn't be allowed to post in this forum.

We had bad cases before, BoBo is our caretaker/specialist for these guys. :)

If ethic would go out of hand Chris has the power to ban any user.

I have seen posts with strong words before. Several times they were caused by the other misstreating the poster. So, who is to blame?

I'm just too curious:
What kind of trouble should that be?
And why should it be serious?

My mother always told be to take care of what I say and what not. (Damn, I should have remembered that before I posted this reply :))) )

Dear Guest,
take a break, relax and enjoy the weekend. Since I will. bye
