:roll: i've waiting for the new version for nearly a year!
I wondered whether Chris would develop AHK more !
Just a Wish: Add more built-in Funcs to AHK
(For example : include some the modules of majkinetor to AHK) :lol:

If you're going to post in the Wish List forum, you need to be much more specific and/or do a small amount of research before-hand. Your request is neither new nor useful.

Well, that was silly. There have been plenty of developments in the last year, as hugov pointed out. We can't expect Chris to do everything - He has a day job and other real-life priorities.

Just a Wish: Add more built-in Funcs to AHK

More built-in functions and other enhancements to function-calling

Why reinvent the wheel? Time wasted re-writing majkinetor's modules in C++ could be spent in much more important areas. They clearly don't need to be built in, as they're already working in script.

I mean that we should make a included library for AHK users and a ahk help file with those func . so that, users can find what they want faster and easier! it 'll save a lot of time searching the web.
We can make something like this:
- Create a Library BIG topic ( for majkinetor to post his funcs here :D )
- Create a Library Package File Every week (or month) for User to download.
- That all :D

I have had many issues with forms framework by majkinetor, especially in _L. There are some sweet things, but it seems unstable and no longer maintained. I would love a Properties control build-in. So many elements in a nice, clean and organized group. and easy to manage.

Also nothing, that has been done, kinda. No one has the interest (or time) to maintain it. <!-- m -->http://www.autohotke...pic.php?t=54996<!-- m -->

Well, It's a good Tool but it won't be useful because:
- it's not easy to find where it is in AHK forum . I didn't know it's existence :D .
- Update too late ( or never update :( )

So what i wish is a Library Folder like Ask for Help, Scripts & Functions, Announcements ... or at least a Sticky topic :( . It's Where users can post their Funcs. And some members of AHK team will check those Funs , make a library package file and Update it every week or month . (And Admin can rename Scripts & Funs -> Scripts :D )

That's exactly what the above link was, minus being a sticky.

The issue, again, is that there are too few forum members dedicated to maintaining a project like this. If you would like to build and maintain something like that, go ahead and give it a shot. If it gets popular enough and turns into a real resource that the community recognizes, it may be added to one of the existing stickies that lists tools and editors and such.

No promises though :p (IMO Tuncay's StdLib Collection should already be part of that sticky)

@nothing: various attempts have been made but all without a result so far
See also <!-- m -->http://www.autohotke... ... autohotkey<!-- m -->
(there was/is a subdomain salt.autohotkey.com and even a code repository <!-- m -->http://code.google.com/p/salt/<!-- m --> for that framework)

I've considered it, but what concerns me is

it seems unstable and no longer maintained.

Ok! Now we maybe try finding the solution.
I think only one person can't maintain a library file and that is the main problem because:
- they're personal tools. can all users understand how they work?
- the search machine of AHK 4rum doesn't work well enough to show you all funcs
- AHK forum has a lot of Functions. A person can't collect all,just what he think good for him or someone else!
- a person can't check if function is good enough or unstable.
- if you have a new function and you post on the AHK forum, Will someone see and include it in his Library file ?
-... that's why SALT or Ahk Standard Library Collection can't maintain. ( I've just known their existence :oops: )
and what about the idea:creating a Library Page (or topic or something else like sticky topic) where:
- has a group member (or all AHK users) to check , test, (or vote) funcs . SO that we will know if it is unstable.
- share funcs easily and if that's ok, the next week you can see your funcs in AHK library file.:shock: (update weekly)
- ... it'll be easier for AHK developers to get what the need... :)

Before Tuncay started there was (and still is)
<!-- m -->http://www.autohotke... ... _Libraries<!-- m -->
which can be updated by anybody.
If you actually read the various discussions (there have been quite a few) you'll see it was suggested (by me) to use the wiki as a list and a strip down Tuncays' script to act as "manager". (The wiki would have to be updated and use a certain format to allow for a short description, download link etc)

Not many people know how to use Wiki (to comment)!

You don't need many, the problem with Tuncay's and the other solutions is that it will be a one man band quite quickly which means it will die pretty quickly to. The manager needs little to no maintenance once done and if you have 4-5 people for the wiki you're well on your way...
