+1I'd appreciate to hear your opinion about the last changes on the "AHK" site. Even though I didn't share all of your decisions about AHk_L, I see no way back to "AHK Basic" for me. So what are you doing to do?

I have used AHK for very basic functions for years but only recently started doing more serious work with it.
Now i'd like to have some clue as to how things will evolve.
[*:3bgv5iaw]If AHK_L will continue to evolve as an advanced (as of more powerful and more complicated) version of AHK (possibly a full fork with it's own website) i'll stick to AHK_L and try to learn it's differences.
[*:3bgv5iaw]If AHK_L is going down but most of it's features are added to basic i might stick to basic for now and follow the evolution
[*:3bgv5iaw]If AHK_L is going down and basic isn't going to incorporate advanced features because it's meant basically as a super-gaming-macro tool (gaming sub-forums started to show everywhere) i'll switch to AutoITThis is not meant as an attack against anyone, there surely is a place for a "super-gaming-macro tool" (im quite a gamer myself) but i don't feel good learning a language i might have to quit in the coming months :?

@r0k
As polyethene said before, over time he wants to add some features which AHK_L covers to AutoHotkey Basic. But not all. It would be nice, if Lexikos explains his thoughts and plans for AutoHotkey v2.

There were certain things you couldnt do in ahk and now you can do them in ahk_l and everything you can do in ahk can be done in ahk_l. So just try to adapt to the change as quick as possible. ahk_l will give you more powar to coding.
Its taking a step ahead, move forward.
And its pretty obvious what he thinks about the changes as he is still continuing with the development of ahk_l. Theres no need for lexikos to reply to this post. Think whatever you guys want to think and stop making it look like he owes a reply to you guys.

I try to avoid considering other peoples point of view as obvious unless they told me themeslves. It's the first and best move towards misunderstanding and endless arguments. That's why i would like to hear something from him. Even something as simple as "Don't worry, AHK_L will go on wherever it's new home might be."And its pretty obvious what he thinks about the changes as he is still continuing with the development of ahk_l. Theres no need for lexikos to reply to this post. Think whatever you guys want to think and stop making it look like he owes a reply to you guys.
I'm most grateful to him for keeping AHK developped lately.

that's why it says "Quote", not "just me wrote"
Altered version of the same post....
that's why it does't say "Quote", not "just me wrote"
So if I don't like the quote then I can just change it to alter the meaning of the original posters post?

It didn't alter the meaning of the quoted section at all. At best it omitted a point upon which the person who quoted it disagreed, but the meaning was exactly the same.
