How come there are no images for the "Post new topic" and read status buttons? Is this a problem with the site generally or specific to my version of Firefox? Thnaks

Do you have HTTP referrers disabled?

I've found that if you omit "www." the images won't load (except from cache).

Thanks that's been fixed now. You may need to clear your browser cache or Ctrl+F5 to see the changes.

Thanks, I don't know - how would I check for that?

I tried clearing my cache but I'm still not seeing the images.

You need to check that your browser is sending HTTP Referrer headers properly. Some extensions block it.

I tried running Firefox in safe mode but no images. I could see the images before the forum changed so I don't think it's just my browser.

Thanks, but I don't use either of them. Why would something that was working suddenly stop?

IE is on your computer it is easy to test, it will help you determine if it is your browser (FF) or your computer, if you also don't see the buttons on IE it might be for example your firewall/av blocking offsite images or perhaps you use a (local) proxy server or adblock software etc.
It is your problem so you need to do something to solve it as well. Saying you don't use it doesn't help.

This is the only site I visit that has missing images. That suggests to me that the problem is unique to this site or the relationship between this site and my browser. I've cleared the cache and tried running in safe mode to no avail. I doubt this is the only site I visit that uses off-site images. Was that a change that was made recently? Were there any others? I'd rather gather more information before I'd set up internet explorer to visit one site. Do you use Firefox? Does Firefox work for other users? I'll add I've tried more than one computer with Firefox and had the same problem with both. Thanks.

Hey, now we're getting somewhere. I was suggesting other browsers because that seemed to be the easiest variable to change. Another computer is a good idea. Was that computer on the same internet connection? Can you take your laptop to Starbucks or McDonald's and try there? Nobody else seems to be having the issue, and plenty of new posts are getting made.

Can you browse to the button image URL directly?

That computer was in another country! The connection was different. I just thought of using an old laptop. Firefox had the same problem but Internet Explorer did show the images. So it does seems Firefox specific. Firewall and antivirus are both different on my main machine and the laptop so we can probably rule them out. The link location for post new topic on my main machine is:
