It seems like every time I log on, the program updates (currently ver1.4.7). This time around, a good, solid 5 minutes of internet activity, most of it out-going. It's only a matter of time before DropBox indexes every file on the computer, whether in the dropbox folder or not -- just in case the government or any 3rd party shows interest in accessing the info.

Every time it updates, I must permanently delete the same files I permanently deleted after previous updates, just as if I really believe any file is permanently deleted from a DropBox server.

DropBox, like Google, FaceBook, and many other sites, is nothing more than an information collection agency for the government.

Yep, so does Internet, your IP number, your ID card, and even your cellphone number. They require our private data, it can't be helped (maybe) :p

Many people started hating Dropbox for their terms of use.
Use DropboxPortableAHK and TrueCrypt, that way they will never know what your uploading.

Is there anything special you have to do when setting up a TrueCrypt container for DropBox?

Not really, just put the container in Dropbox folder, mount it, stuff it with whatever you want, unmount it and let Dropbox upload it.
