I asked a cop who was on foot patrol at a baseball game, why he was on his cellphone and being payed OverTime by the city to be on duty.
He said he "was calling my wife to tell her I wasn't going to make it home for dinner because I would soon be in jail."
I politly encouraged him to have a wonderful evening and went on my way.
