Hello, just wanted to share something I found on the internet today. You can use this service to register unimportant accounts and prevent spam by creating a email 'on-lease' to you for 10 minutes. http://10minutemail.com

Seems like a pretty good privacy policy, too.

I'm using Spamgourmet.com. It allows you to create addresses in the form of somename.NumberOfMaxEmailsToReceive.Use ... ourmet.com. This address will then allow the specified number of mails to pass through.

I used www.mintemail.com for one-time registrations. It has "normal" mail domain name, eg. rhrt0@ac.mintemail.com, useful for registration systems that detect fake (random name) mails. 8-)

I'm using this service for about three years, and it's pretty cool. :) They provide very good domains which mostly are not recognized as trash mail and therefore not blocked.

I have my own alternative to cutting down spam.

I have a google apps account. I have set my main email address as the "catch-all" address.

EG: mainemail@mydomain.com then when i register at untrusted sites, or one time opt ins and such i use a email such as idonttrustthissite@mydomain.com

then when i get sick of receiving their spam, I filter any email sent to "idonttrustthissite@mydomain.com".

Works, and its much faster than signing up for temporary emails, or constantly checking multiple inboxes.
