Hi

You can use some code from this script also if you want to copy your files and compress them in a zip file. WinZip, IzArc or a similar application is required.

I use this for my daily backup.

Thanks for the encouragements, but a large part of these honors should come to the person who provides me the idea & the information required for this code: "Fridemar".

Search for his name and you may find some midi related threads or macros.

One usage example might be to paint midi music with this principle. (...) I'm just curious how fast AutoHotkey (together with the painting application) can be? That's a nice idea. Unfortunately, Windows is not a real-time OS, meaning it's pretty hard to predict its timing capacity at this level. So...

Several days passed since I propose the modification. From what I can see, I would like to propose a simplified key-limited version. We'll have to admit that we rarely execute more than 3 or 4 recorded macros simultaneously. For those who would like to do so, I have created an "extended key ver...

Larry: Hi Larry, You've made an important contribution with, among other, the AutoScriptWriter, thanks. However, as you can see, there are several patches and alternatives that began to appear. One day, one of them may replace your application. To preserve the paternity you deserve, I would highly ...

Computers must support the PC speaker if they want to be "100% IBM AT compatible". If they do not have a PC speaker, their embedded sound card device must capture these. However, I thing there is nothing defined for its minimum volume. Also, as mentionned, there is no functionnalities in M...

Thanks for the script If you don't mind having this functionality associated with CAPS LOCK, NUM LOCK and SCROLL LOCK and have defined sound, you can use this operating system functionality: Go to Control panel , Accessibility options , tab: Keyboard and check: Use ToggleKeys . You might need to ins...

I have proposed another possible solution to a "ProKey-like" solution here.

Please let me know if it would be useful.

Using the upper case and lower case keys for different functions is a good idea and it's easy to do. So easy that I’ll give the recipe here if anyone want to modify the script to behave this way. Let' say: ⋅  Win+shift+a would save the code present in AutoScriptWriter and ⋅  Win+...

What do you do with the different installation files, patches and application updates that you have downloaded and installed? It's a good idea to keep them in case a re-installation is required, but where? You could always place them in some sort of "my download" sub-directories but these ...

Sorry Fridemar, but for the respect of the original code as well as other users, this thread should be for comments, improvements or alternatives for AutoScriptPlayer.ahk . A MIDI-keyboard support is out of the original objectives of AutoScriptPlayer.ahk . However, I've answered your questions and u...

I've edited my original message
  • Replace occurrences AutoScriptRecorder.exe by AutoScriptWriter.exe
  • Update the script download link.

Sorry if that causes any confusions.

Thanks fridemar for your encouragements. This is getting a bit off context. You might have more relevant help if this is re-posted in the “ General help " forum. Anyway, I'll try to answer your questions. Midi keyboard capture: If I understood well, this seems to be a string capture-reaction re...
