Thank you for your prompt reply and the suggestion of using OnMessage. I just don't know, how to send a message to a ahk script without an window...

Hi, is there a way to call a function of a already running "#SingleInstance On script" from an external program (like the command line)? In the end I'd like to call a special function/ label via command line just like calling it via hotkey: without starting a second instance of the script....

This is a different case to the first thing you first described of windows being active while still minimized (i.e. none of the taskbar buttons are shown as being depressed to indicate selection). I think this is normal windows behavior: When you have several windows open, minimise them except for ...

Great, that works. Th weird thing about it: I tried it on several PCs (German Win XP) and always the same. Now I asked a friend in China to try it (on Chinese Win XP) and he said it was not like this. (I'm not sure if he really did exactly what I told him to do). Did you try to close the last non mi...

neither nor really do the job. Especially since I don't know in advance if WinActivate works or not. This way I can never be sure to have a deterministic script. Usually I used "WinActivate Program Manager" to deactivate all windows. But this does not work with a minimized active window. I know ther...

I've seen this behavior before too. However, I'm not sure exactly what triggers it or how to avoid it. As I have said: at least on my computer I can trigger it by close the last window which is not minimized. If I do this on of the minimized windows gets the focus. I think if there'd be a WinDeacti...

Hi, I omit it's more of a windows problem than a ahk problem, but may somebody has an idea how to solve it: Sometimes windows are active but still minimized. In this state the windows are only kind of active: e.g. they do not react to keystrokes BUT WinActivate does not do a thing either. This happe...

Hi, this script adds support for application-specific hotkeys . This is done by checking the active process and active window in a specific time interval. If there is a change application-specific hotkeys are turned off/ on. The first line contains a list of all programs (in terms of the normalized ...
