Since I don't have access to a Vista machine, I can't test the suggestions made there. If you get it to work, please let me k... |

| Lexicos, If I remember correctly, I had to kill some AHK and/or upx tasks using the Task Manager after trying to compile with AVG active. For some reason they were left running after the unsuccessful compile attempts. Also, how are you disabling AVG? I disabled the realtime scanner from within the m... |

VxE,
Nice tweak. But you sorta reinforce my point: if the issue comes up often enough, why not make the solution part of the UI? |

| I know this has come up before, but I just wanted to add my two-devaluated-U.S.-cents worth. I think it would be nice to be able to turn off the compiler's UPX compression from the GUI rather than having to rename upx.exe to disable it. A reasonable place for this would be an "off" option ... |

| Oberon, thanks for the tip. The documentation you point to mentions the same technique that n-l-i-d mentioned above. What I was suggesting is that it would be nice to make the compression fully turn-off-able at the command line or via the GUI. There's already an option in the GUI for level of compre... |

| Thanks for the info. For me personally having compressed executables isn't a critical issue, so I think I will leave compression disabled by default so it doesn't create problems for me or anyone using an exe I created. Which brings us to: is there a command line switch or something to disable compr... |

| Are you using AVG Anti-Virus by any chance? I had the same problem. Disabling realtime scanning fixed the problem. See my post here. |

| I started having problems compiling AHK scripts this weekend after installing the newest (8.0) version of AVG Anti-Virus Free Edition. The problem is similar to the one described here . The problem went away when I turned off AVG's realtime scanning ... then for good when I replaced AVG with Avira A... |

| Here's another "I don't know if anyone else has already done this" item... I got sorta annoyed with the unreliable/unpredictable way that Windows XP handles popup notifications via TrayTip, especially when you issue notifications from different process and/or in rapid succession. So I want... |

| I did a search and couldn't find anything to help me figure this out. I want to use AHK to control another computer on my home network. Specifically, I want to be able to hit hotkeys on my laptop to change the master volume on my media player computer; but this is only a start. Being able to program... |

| I just ran Windows Live OneCare's "Protection" scan, and it deleted all of the *.exe files that I had compiled from *.ahk scripts!!! Furthermore, it did so without asking for permission. Once you start the process, it just demolishes whatever it thinks is a problem. I guess it assumes it k... |

I installed Traycut on a USB stick using the same exact directory structure as your D: drive install. (... |

| Based on your code, I'm confused as to how the path would be an issue. Me too. :( If you figure it out, please share. Will do. On my home machine, I have it installed in C:\Documents and Settings\Mithat\My Documents\Dev\AHK\Traycut and it works fine... so, spaces in the path aren't the problem. |
