@fincs: thanks for the "middle-click to close" suggestion. I was unaware of that option. It will suffice for the moment but between middle-click and double-click, i personally find double-click easier, if there is a choice as i am too lazy to move my finger for the middle click :wink: So, ...

Mine just uses ";" as the comment character...nothing more, nothing less. Not sure what's going on with your install... Although my problem is solved, thanks to fincs but still i just want to make sure whether i was the lone person having the problem despite re-installing it several times...

But mine uses ;~ only for comments when i press Ctrl+Q. I am using the latest version 3 beta 4. And this is the only version i have ever installed as i am very new to ahk. A tilde is invariably and annoyingly being added whatever language i choose from the three options in the Scite4AHK Language men...
