It has much more features than I will ever need, but it is not free ($32). If you use only a few of them, it is worth the money...

Welcome back, Jonny! You are right with the default color scheme. The first I did with Total Commander was to set the background color to white and set a very pale blue for background 2, which makes it easier to find the file extension feet away from the corresponding filename. But the file viewer/players rock, as FTP, download manager, etc. They collected a lot of nice little shareware utilities in one app.

NOT free, really? I got a later version 3.5 and it was totally free.
