I've not only heard of this, I've used one before at a demonstration. Unfortunately, it's like violet dye in ancient times: practically perfect and one of the best things to have, but way too expensive for mortal men. Unless you usually spend upwards of 400 american greenbacks for a keyboard.

I guess someone would have that kind of money, and it might be worth it if you could afford it  , but you must remember that freeware fanatics compose a majority in this forum.

That keyboard is exactly the thing I've been looking for since I turned into an efficiency nut. That combined with ion3 in linux would be insane. Looks like the programming software is windows only, I wonder if it would work in wine. Not like I have the money to buy it anyway  .

We ordered one of these http://www.expansys.com.au/product.asp?code=110909 projection keyboards at work to try out and just because it looked interesting. It was around $200 Australian. There are several similar ones available, eg. http://www.palmzone.net/modules.php?name=News&file=article&sid=211

Anyway, the thing was virtually useless... you had to be in a dimly lit room and type slowly and carefully. Obviously there's no tactile feedback but it did have an audible clicker. As a "proof of concept" and an interesting gadget it was fascinating, but as a practical product to buy and use, forget it! Give me a mobile phone keypad over this any day.
