I find my self testing different scripts by making changes to it with an editor and having to perform numerous clicks to "Run" it. I'd like to incorporate a hotkey in my master.ahk that would run the script from the editor. My editor calls it Noname.ahk by default.

Has anyone ever done this?

a lot of fancier editors can support this directly. What editor do you use? If you are using Notepad, I recommend PSPad. Look in the AHK folder in Program Files for Extras\Editors and run the script that corresponds to your editor. It will add common custom options to the editor of your choice.

I'm using EditPlus which I hate to give up since it is quite powerful, but I guess not powerful enough, huh? At least if it does have that capability, I'm not aware of where it is or how it works. I do know though that it recognizes AHK, keywords, comments, etc.

Oops, I went back and really read your response. I followed your instructions going through the installation process. It turns out I already had the mechanism in place. But, to run a script, I go to "Open Folder", find the file I have just saved, right click then select "Run Script". That's precisely the process I was talking about originally. I'd like to be able to do it with a hotkey.

BTW, thanks again for the help on setting the default printer. It works like a charm.
