 Post subject: Alt Ctrl Del
PostPosted: June 24th, 2004, 2:55 pm
After pressing Alt Ctrl Del to lock my workstation (XP) and getting back to XP by inputing the password, I'm loosing the current script, and I have to click on "reload current script" to get it back
Does anyone have experienced the same problem?

Are you sure you're using XP? I thought Ctrl-Alt-Del on XP caused task manager to appear. Perhaps this default can be changed?

The reason I ask is that there was a fix done for Win2k and NT, but not for XP, relating to Ctrl-Alt-Del.

A temporary workaround is to press the CTRL and ALT keys once each when you unlock.

Yes I am using XP, but it is configured to act like w2k (Company profile)meaning that Alt Ctrl Del brings up a windows the windows security screen, and even if after the first Alt Ctrl Del I press ESC to cancel the action, the script is lost

After pressing Ctrl-Alt-Del and you return to the desktop, try pressing the same CTRL and ALT keys again and let me know if that fixes it. If it does, I'll know what the problem is.

Ok I'll see what I can do to adjust this for the next version. Thanks for testing it.

Last version corrects now the problem for events like mouse events and the script.
for keyboard events like #a, I still have to press Alt Ctrl to reactivate the function

That is probably happening because XP hides the Delete keystroke from the system when Ctrl & Alt are held down. If this is the case, I do not know of any easy way to fix it.

You can help me confirm this by following these steps:
1) Have your problem script running.
2) Press Ctrl-Alt-Del
3) Press Esc to dismiss the security screen.
4) Double click the script's tray icon to open the window
5) Select menu View > Key history
6) Copy & paste that info to an e-mail addressed to support@autohotkey.com

Thanks for your help.
