What is this:
This is a script I call Time Travel. I made it to update the system clock with any time the user wants.

Why is it useful?
If you like to change your system clock a lot? I actually find it very useful for replacing songs in iTunes. If I want a certain song to have a Date Added value of X, I just change my system clock to X, add the file to the library, and bam, done.

Anything else?
It depends on a special program though, Neutron Time Synchronizer. I packaged the program in the zip file with special config options enabled, so the process of synchronizing your time takes a matter of 7 seconds with no user input at all.

Download it here
Comes with the source, an executable version, and Neutron Time Synchronizer

Changelog
2008-08-22 7:09PM EST
Added a helpful statusbar
Hides all command prompt windows
Hides Neutron window and ends process as soon as the time is synced, instead of having to wait 5 extra seconds
Added a "Sync with Windows (W32TM) option

I noticed sometimes Neutron wouldn't recognize DST, so i included this in the synchronization feature as well. It will ensure that you get the correct time and date, but it takes a little bit longer.

Please, comments are appreciated :)

I was using neutron, nice utility, but this application can be written in AHK without dependency.

Thanks for the reply

I searched the forums, and I saw that solution as well, but what I do with this application is set my system time and date back months, sometimes years ago. That way I can trick iTunes by adding a new song to my library, and in the "Date Added" column it thinks I added it on X date.

Windows natively blocks synchronizing time when the system clock is not the correct date. That's why I use Neutron in this utility.
