Read the Documentation and study other people's scripts.

Not exactly, so far I haven't heard of a function to detect sound volume/pitch.

There is the Sound Analysis, but i'm not sure if its a fast enough analysis. But it looks usable.

As I recall there was a script in AHK or Au3 that renders a vizulation of the audio that is being played (just like sndrec32.exe)...

If anyone locates it, I'd REALLY like to see this.

I've tried to re-locate it in 1 year now... all I remember was that it was released on someone's personal site, and his site also included a app to watch stats on one's modem (some kind of Motorola modem) (Atleast I think it was the same site, but I did at least pick up both scripts at the same day)

Would THIS be it?

If so (and even if not) I'm sure someone with better DLL and GDI+ skills
than myself could get a working version of this in AHK in no time.

haha I found this one too just now, but no, that's not it, the one I found was simply a regular gui that was continually just rendering the audio but this one looks cool xD.

Edit: here is antoher one:

Code:
eText("Yaye, I made it!")
eText("<0x333333>0xFF0000Gray Background with Red Text")
eText("Sorry I meant; >0xFFFFFF<0x0000FFWhite Text and blue background")
eText("Or maybe I meant>0xEE43DAPink and reset to >oDefault and then >0xEE43DAPink >o<0xffffffagain")
