I've done some searching but it doesn't seem like anyone else has had this problem. I'm writing a script that uses a hotkey for the left mouse button. It works fine on my desktop PC and LT C-500 tablet (which has the resistive type of touch screen).

With my Motion Computing M1300 tablet, although the hotkey activates when I tap the stylus, KeyWait and GetKeyState aren't able to recognize when the pen is pressed down. They always believe the left mouse button is up. I've tried using OnMessage() with the same result.

The M1300 uses the EM field kind of touch display (I forget what they call it) that only works with a special stylus. I wonder if it's using a driver that somehow bypasses what Autohotkey hooks for the mouse buttons. OTOH, all other apps work fine with the pen, doing what they're supposed to when the pen is pressed down, held, or released.

Can anyone illuminate what the problem might be and whether there's a workaround. Is there another, lower level way of determining if a mouse button is up or down?

I don't use nor am I familiar with you're type of touchscreen,
however, if there is an answer it is related to these links.

Also do a Forum Search on "Touchscreen" or "Tablet", you'll find others.

Have Fun, :o
