After searching for a way to use Turkish letters (çğıöüşÇĞİÖÜŞ) on a standard (non-turkish) keyboard I decided to create one myself based on Autohotkey_L using alt (shift) letter combinations.

After hearing from others they we're interested as well, I decided to post it here; a script for (existing) AutoHotKey_L users, a stand alone app for non-tech users and an installer for the lazy ones

Merhababalar. Ich habe dein Skript noch nicht ausprobieren können, aber habe mal kurz in der readme gelesen. Da du auch ä, ö und ü mapst, gehe ich mal davon aus das du ein Englisches layout benutzt. Auf einem Deutschen Tastatur Layout sind sie ja vorhanden.

Übrigens, vielleicht kennst du das nicht: Unter Windows kannst du per ALT+SHIFT zwischen verschiedenen Layouts für das aktive Fenster hin und her wechseln. Da kannst du ja auch Türkisch einstellen. Ich mache das so seit Jahren mit Englisch zum Programmieren und für alles andere Deutsch. (Dazu wollte ich schon immer mal ein Skript schreiben, damit es das bei bestimmten Fenstern automatisch erledigt.)

Deutsch ist kein problem, but I'll reply in English.

I've tried all the options I could find, but found none to be easy enough to work with. Letter combo's like , +c and : +o or Alt number combinations I don't like. The Alt+letter works perfectly for me.

ç ö ü are not the problem as they are also in the latin character set. ş ı ğ are the only available in unicode (/other character sets), so the first letters you'll be able to find on many keyboards & character sets, the last more difficult.
I'm using a US int keyboard layout, so there none of the letters are available by default, German or Dutch keyboards have some, but not all. This little tool should work for all keyboards though.
