Would anybody know a similar program to AHK in Linux? Can I use the same script?

Thanks,

Okay above forum Link is for asking equivalant program(s) to AutoHotKey in Linux...

This post is a wish...."OH how I wish AUTOHOTKEY were able to run on Linux"

Okay so no genie or magic here, well I will inform you I added AutoHotKey to the 'game" workaround development list at Cedega. All it needs is a few votes and the people at Trangaming will start thier API support magic.

If you have a membership at TransGaming Cedega and have a vote here or there not being used PLEASE PLEASE vote for AutoHotKey.

Hope you don't mind Autohotkey....
What we really need is some coders to take the OpenSource of AHK and work it to Linux... would be nice if it were an add too as opposed to a fork.

/me tosses two cents and finds himself running out of sence.

I don't think it will EVER run in Linux. The whole point of AHK is to stick it's fingers into the Windows API. until Linux starts responding to the same API commands, it won't happen. There are MAJOR technical obstacles, not even counting the time, knowledge, and effort obstacles. You could maybe implement some of the math commands and syntax in Linux, but none of the commands for remapping, hotstrings, reading data from windows, interacting with controls, etc. can be done at this time.

I'm surprised nobody has asked for this on an Apple operating system yet...
