With CS-Script (the near equal of C#) and with all the automation abilities of AutoHotKey, I wish and hope (this is the wish list after all) to see an effort combine/integrate the 2 and take AutoHotKey to new heights beyond any other automation scripting/programming language.

I've read the site and CS-Script looks very useful, especially to those who know .Net and/or the C# programming language. Although I'm mostly unfamiliar with both, a lot of people sing the praises of Dot Net (and to lesser extent, C-Sharp). Someday I'd like to discover exactly what sets them so far above the alternatives (MFC/API and C/C++).

If there are any developers who wish to contribute design ideas and/or code to AutoHotkey (in this area or any other), that would be very welcome. In any case, I've made a note to look into CS-Script more when the time comes to research OLE/COM/ActiveX/VBScript features.

Thanks for posting the CS-Script info.

Not sure why there is a desire to mix these two, ahk and .net.

There's already a free open source tool for developing in .net called sharp develop.

http://www.icsharpcode.net/OpenSource/SD/

From here .net developers can build any exe they want. The key to extensibility would be if AHK could run an exe file created in sharp develop, thereby providing the best of both worlds for those who want to go that route.

As a sidebar there's also a prototype tool called Nscript for processing C#, vb.net and J# files

I think there is a simle way to integratge AHK with CS-Script and related : compile your script and call the exe from the CS-Script script. Best of all : AHK don't need .Net to run.
