Topmost Toggle is a simple script that toggles the topmost attribute of the active window.

Leave running in system tray, press Control-Right Click to toggle topmost.
A 2 second MsgBox pops up to show the current status.

The download has source if you wish to change the hotkey or add features.

edit: I added the icon I used in the compiled version in case you wish to use it for the compile.

I've tested it. It does exactly what it says on the tin!

I don't really have any use for it myself, but I'm sure there are plenty of others that do.

Thanks for the comment. When I wrote it I used utilities I wrote myself for favorite folder pop-up and that type of thing. Anyway, those apps usually provided a slider to adjust transparency. Thought it would be handy to be able to set them to stay on top mainly for that reason. Since then I rethought my approach. Now my folder utilities pop up with a hotkey. No need to be open on the desktop all the time. They have the feel of the old Dos TSR hotkey utilities.

But the thing does work so I may as well leave it on the site for download.

nVidia graphics software for Windows packs a lot of extra desktop and window features into the shell, like adjusting transparency (also when windows are dragged), keep on top, move between desktop and many other cool things. I'm very impressed by their utilities. Unfortunately for me, I have ATI.
