Hi Guys. I just discovered this forum today. Seems like a great program that might help me with annoying problem:

I took a quick search at the forum, but could not find this exact same problem.

I am a user of Razer Diamondback and 3d studio Max. I have a problem with the wheel button in Max. (the wheel itself works fine)

In MAX, the middle button by default is assigned to do multiple tasks:
if you press and hold "alt+middle button" you can pan, If you press and hold ctrl+middle button it can orbit the viewport.
When releasing the buttons it goes back to whateever command you were using before. This functionality is essential and used ALL THE TIME
used as it controls the viewports in a simple and fast manner.

This function works flawless with my cheap logitech mouse.
With my logitech mouse I have to set the wheel button to "middle button" (insted of "universal scroll") in the setpoint software for it to
work with MAX. But my logitech mouse is really bad compared to the Razer in terms of presicion!

The problem is that Razer doesn't have this option. The middle button can be assigned to almost anything except being middle button/windows button 3. It can be "click", "universal scroll" or a custom letter.
But none of this options work in 3ds max. I have talked to the engineers over at Razer and they acknowledge the problem, but they don't say when they can fix it.

Maybe someone here can help me with a script that makes this functionality work with the Razermouse?

Helge,
Norway

u should be able to work with settings in your MAX to use wheel instead. If you have mouse software install it. Other wise look up emulating mouse clicks in help file.
