Hi, I am new to AHK and impressed with its logic, and great system.

I am wondering, is it impossible -- but with only other windows software, to create a soley ahk script, which will copy sector-by-sector, a back-up image of the HD? Can this be done anyhow?

I'm not sure what kind of kernel API would be involved but have you seen FileCopy?

That works pretty well, but this is a freaky idea I have, ... I dunny, would love to see something to generate a image.

Is a full file-by-file backup possible, even with locked system files, just to re-create a partition or drive?
