I'm working on a Kaizo-esque Super Mario World hack. I learned to use Lunar Magic a few days ago, and yesterday made this, I've been fiddling with it a lot but it's good enough to release (only Yoshi's Island 1 and 2 have been modified, or for fellow ROM hackers, levels 105, 1CB and 106 - Yoshi's Island 2 was only modified to the point where you have to get the Yellow Switch blocks to complete it).
It is possible, by the way.
The download (removed, see update) will last for a week, if you can extend that feel free and post a link.
The challenge is to beat Yoshi's Island 1 (renamed Father Time's Enemy because you have insanely small amounts of time) using both the standard and the secret exits, without using cheats, save states, rewinds, resets, or running out of lives. This means that you can only mess up 5 times before you lose the challenge. It is an unlocked ROM so you can open and modify it, but doing so disqualifies you.
Remember to share how many expletives it took, and how I could make it better/harder! Please don't post spoilers though. I'm going to redo everything, so if you want you can give me ideas :)

Instructions:
1. Download ZSNES (http://www.zsnes.com/) and my ROM (link above)
2. Run ZSNES, click "Game" then "Load"
3. Navigate to the folder you downloaded my ROM to, click it, and press enter
4. Wait for the intro video to finish
5. Select a Mario with the arrow keys and x
6. Select "1 Player Game"
7. When "Welcome to Dinosaur Land..." comes up, wait a while and press x - this is leftover from SMW and I will be changing it, along with everything else
8. Press the left arrow key to get to "Father Time's Enemy", then x to enter the level
9. Press x to do a spin jump, z to do a normal jump, Enter to pause, arrow keys to move/crouch/look up, and hold s to run faster and jump higher (side effect: if you run into an item you'll pick it up) - change key bindings by pressing escape, config, input, and changing stuff
10. Beat the level using one secret exit and one standard exit (secret exit is a keyhole, standard exit is a goal point) - there are two of each, try to find them all
11. Yes, it's hard, but it helps if you try not to ragequit or break your computer - if you feel yourself getting angry, it'll affect your gameplay, so stop playing for a while

UPDATE: tidbit has informed me that ROMs are frowned on in this forum, so I have removed the download link and I am working on a patch file. To play an IPS file, put an unmodified Super Mario World ROM in the same folder as the IPS file (make sure they have the same name, e.g. SMW.smc and SMW.ips) and load the ROM in ZSNES (it will NOT modify the ROM stored on your hard drive).
UPDATE: The IPS file is now at http://www.filefactory.com/file/b35290c/n/Hack.ips and http://www.filesavr.com/yNzCFutH (take your pick, they're identical, and I think both of them will last forever)

I didn't say they were frowned on in this forum. Just most forums don't like them. Not sure how Chris feels, and seeing he isn't active much, who knows? :D

and for the Poll, why are the options "No" and "No" ? :P I beat it as I proved earlier.

Good challenging and fun! good job.

Heh, I've made several SMW (test) hacks myself. BTW: I use snes9x instead of ZSNES.

Ah, well, better safe than sorry.

It's a joke, I'll change it.

You can if you want, my instructions were more for people who don't know much about emulation.
