In your case the script was directly shown in my browser (Mozilla Firefox ;) ) and not a file to download - that's maybe also a difference..
If Firefox sees the file as plain text then it displays it. You can configure Firefox to link the .ahk extension with AutoHotkey.exe so it would give you the standard open/save-as dialog when you open an ahk script file. IE automatically does this from the registry I think.

Oh I like it as plain text in explorer ;)
So I can have a fast view over it and I am faster in creating the file than I would be by downloading it

So it's all fine :)

Sorry if I just missed the picture here but I still can't download the latest file. When I click on the link I am told to log in. When I log in I get my storage area and it is empty.

Sorry for the trouble but I really would like this collection of functions.

Thanks!

Edit: I am using Firefox!

For your convenience, I put a mirror of the Funcs.zip up here (latest modified date is 21-08-2005, so I'm not sure if this is the latest version)

Yeah! I figured out that the link was wrong. I understand the problem, especially since you said that in one of your previous posts. As you can see from the above "mirror" post, the question is about this being the latest file. Is it the latest? If not can we get someone to post the link for the latest?

My question comes from thinking that the original post would be or should be corrected to reflect the correct link. That's why I said that I was sorry if I missed the picture here.

Thanks for your reply!

Thanks, Invalid User!
Shouldn't this thread be sticky?

In fact, I've stumbled across a number of such collections here recently, mostly by accident. I think all of these should be sticky. Or, even better, have one or two sticky threads where all the important* subs and functions are collected!?

* By "important", I here mean rather basic stuff, like Titan's XML parser or my script to process command line parameters (sorry for plugging my own script here, but selective memory made me remember this as a good example - beware though, it's far from perfect).

Good suggestion; I've done so.

Yes, this sounds good because minimizing the number of sticky topics seems best. It would be preferable if the Catalogue of All Scripts (which is already sticky) could be updated somehow. Perhaps someone could make a page in the AHK wiki to which a new sticky topic points. That page could point to the Catalogue of All Scripts, other useful topics in the forum, and any external sites of interest.

These are good candidates for the script showcase and/or for distribution with the program as #Include files. By contrast, I think making them sticky might quickly get out of control because there would be so many others that seem to qualify as sticky.

I have created a "Functions" page in the AHK wiki. For now, it only contains the basic (and somewhat clumsy :o ) explanation and the two scripts I've already mentioned.
Since I'm still rather new and don't know most of the stuff yet, I'd welcome help in completing the list. Chris, maybe you could create a sticky thread that would urge people to contribute to these pages in the wiki* - that would obviously have more weight than if I'd do it...

* Since the AHK documentation already covers most of the basic questions, such meta-collections are the ultimate USP for the wiki (which I guess is hardly used - or even know - at this point).

For some reason, I'm reluctant to pressure anyone into spending time on specific things. That may change if something more important comes along.

Perhaps what the AHK project needs is volunteers to work on specific areas such as the script showcase and the library of includable functions (for distribution with the program). However, things like that can be very time-consuming, so I expect qualified volunteers to be in short supply.

Yes, of course. Maybe "urge" wasn't the best choice of words here...
It's just that I think that few people actually 'consciously' know about the wiki, so a sticky topic would make them aware of this possibility (hopefully). That way, potential contributors would be informed - and anyone not interested could safely ignore it.

I agree that those two jobs you described would be very helpful for the project - and I'm sure there are willing users eager to contribute (after all, these are the most friendly and cooperative forums I know). They just have to know about that need/opportunity.
So maybe a call for volunteers (e.g. in the news section?) would be a good idea?

Thanks; your ideas are good. I've made a note to post something, somewhere, about this.

Great News, I have updated the download (and tested the link :D ). I have added about 30 funcitons from various places on the forum since the last time I updated. This new functions include the set of array functions, DispChangeSettings, which allows you to easily change the monitors display settings, and much more. Most of the funcitons are self explanitory, but just in case I am (still...) working on documentation.
