Sometime, people ask how to change the context menu in Windows Explorer.
I found a program that seems to allow this easily (no registry tweaking) and even more, it adds a bunch of very useful tools, by default.
I have yet to test it, but if efficient, it might obsolete some of the freewares I use...

Freeware, of course. http://www.lopesoft.com/en/index.html

The main product of this site is a text editor which seems nice, it is available in a free edition (limited features) and a Pro one...

Note: 3.6MB, not a small program, but it really does lot of stuff!

8)

I used CMenuExtender before, but that one doesn't always work well on NT systems

I tried so many different shell extensions but none of them were quite right, or had too many bugs or limitations, and none of them did generic subfolders or per directory, etc. support; so I wrote one (based upon a skeleton example), which adds items to the list (including subfolders), based on whether the (entire) filename matches a PCRE, (which need not be anchored). Subfolders and items, with regular expressions and commands are in config files.
Expect (almost) no support or documentation. :)

Brilliant - recommending something that you haven't tried.

Surely 4 years is enough time for you to try it instead?

Anyway, it seems that the link in my last post is broken and old, so here's a new one that works: http://sourceforge.net/projects/jctxmenu/

Did I recommend it? I mentioned it as seeming useful, that's all.

BTW, I use it since then, installing it on all computers I use regularly. It works on Win7, unlike some other shell extensions, alas.
So, now, I can recommend it! :)
