To answer your question I built a work around that simply loops and checks the status of a person every 10 seconds or so and it just runs in the background.
I also had a co-worker build one in Python that works just fine although I don't use Python.
However I never really used it at all. It's just sitting in my folder.

I'm guessing this is how it was supposed to play out... "Female" has just changed status to "Out to Lunch". Now, all you have to do is get the timing correct and you can "accidentally" bump in to her on your way out to lunch as well. Very smooth.
