There used to be an Edit button next to each .ahk and .txt file. Not sure why it was removed.

The AutoHotkey.net File Manager used to be Invision Power File Manager...then Titan wrote the current File Manager from scratch...& didn't re-add all the features.

I find both the File Manager & the FTP access to be lacking. With the current File Manager, you can almost do nothing. With FTP, there's no security & you can't set file's timestamps (easily/automatically).

I, for one, would like the old File Manager back (more features)...or for him to continue editing the current one.

Hijacking my own thread.
Is there anyway to set up an account that say ... only had the ability to manage files that only they uploaded? Also .. wheres the FTP?

I.E:
    A uploads A.txt and B.txt
    B uploads C.txt and D.txt

    A cannot mess with C.txt or D.txt
    B cannot mess with A.txt or B.txt

+1 @JSLover
I enjoyed several features of the old file manager, such as the SiteMap and hit counters.

I was going to give a smartbutt reply to "Also .. wheres the FTP?", but I cannot find the About or FAQ page that all the info used to be on.

Also, the Open source link is dead on the main topic.

The Invision File Manager software was discontinued during its beta stage of development. In the interests of security I decided to write a new platform from scratch, which made it easier to maintain and customise to our specific requirements.

Features like Subversion hosting, sitemaps and hit counters were removed due to lack of demand. The same was true for the source code of the site, fewer than 1% of users ever browsed through its Github page.

I don't believe advanced features like changing file creation times and permissions is necessary, most FTP clients provide this functionality anyway.

Most of this will change over the coming months however as ownership of the site changes, please await further announcements.

...is there any other alternative?

...I don't really mean my ability to manually set the timestamp, but my FTP client's ability to automatically set them. A long time ago, when I tested, your FTP server was incapable of supporting it. I could test again, but I fear nothing on the server has changed.

I definitely can't think of ANY reason for uploaded files to get the timestamp of when it was uploaded, instead of the REAL time I edited it on my computer. It seems to me, that timestamps should always be preserved, however, it seems the rest of the world likes timestamps to get ****ed on upload.
