>>>Edit, Nov 26 2006: a handy feature added -- Tooltip to show action for every button. --> http://www.autohotkey.net/~iason/omphalos2.zip
Note: When updating do NOT touch 'buttons' folder, so as to keep your work!

I put "Script Organizer" on this topic because "Omphalos" would not eventually make sense to most people.

Omphalos was the sort of script that came to my mind as soon as i discovered Autohotkey some time ago, i gave a try those early days (see http://www.autohotkey.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=6120), but now i think i managed to make something worth - at least it has become useful to me.

What it does:
It is a place to quickly access anything. With a playfully customizable and intuitive interface, guess what, it can also be your Autohotkey script deposit. 20 tabs with 4 button groups plus 20 buttons each (1600 commands in total) should be really enough to organize your whole world of tasks in your computer.

The interface is extremely simple -- keywords: speed, user-friendliness, chastity, intuitivity. Every button is customized with 3 clicks. You can also save a memo for each script to help you remember what it exactly does.

A jot-down-notes utility is also featured: there are 6 note fields, and you don't have to bother for saving since they are continiously and automatically saved even if you exit.

A basic hotkey can be assigned to show/hide Omphalos under any circumstances, making everything instantly accessible at all times. Every command is saved in the scripts folder in it's own file (.ahk) and any file can be manually edited. Any unneccessary file is automatically deleted by the system.

The script (25KB) can be downloaded here:

Thanks Autohot guys and i hope it becomes useful to others as well.

Can't download.

Seems you've put the file in a place only you can access.

I'd love to check this script out, so please put it somewhere we can download it 8)

You need to use the Open URL link - right click it and select 'Copy Link Location': http://www.autohotkey.net/~iason/omphalos.zip

ah, cheers, Titan!

And great script, iason! I need to play with it a little more to get the hang of it, but I like it so far. Could be what I've been looking for in terms of AHK-script launcher...

Thanks, TuchnDar!

This script was elaborated for quite some time, and i would really love to share it. I tried to combine versatility and simplicity. I do not like the flamboyant and showy and useless stuff all the net is full of. Get your jobs done precisely and with no hasle is the real power.

In this context any smarter ideas would be much appreciated i guess.
