Would be nice to have support for NaturalPoint's TrackIR and 6DOF included. Similar as the support for joysticks :)

If the device requires a special interface or DirectInput, that would be harder to support. However, if the device produces cursor movement or mouse clicks, you should be able to use mouse button hotkeys and MouseGetPos with it.

In addition, perhaps the device can be configured through software to send keystrokes, which could then be configured as hotkeys in a script.

Actually I'm now usign your software with TrackIR, I just need to translate the signals to joy-axis before I can do anything more.
Naturalpoint website is the place where you can get the SDK, don't know lot about programming, but I think it would be quite easy for "you gurus" to implement it. Here's the link to the TIR developer support, atleast these guys try to tell you it will take only 30 mins to implement :)

Here's a link to the bubblegum I've done with current AutoHotkey... Natural Point Forums

I have some interest in this so I sent the following e-mail to them:

Mave suggested native support for your device in AutoHotkey, which is an open source automation and hotkey utility. Details about the request: http://www.autohotkey.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=1664

Although I've no experience with DirectInput programming, I'd like to take a look at some of the examples that come with the SDK to get a feel for it.

By the way, have you any plans to offer a "joystick mode" for TrackIR so that the device can be seen by the system as a normal joystick?

Very nice. I'm sure others will benefit from the work you did integrating all these things together. By the way, here is another PPJoy integration topic: http://www.autohotkey.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=454
