I've been successfully using AHK in a game until they recently patched it with gameguard / nprotect software, which disallows outside apps from touching the game while it's running.

I've read every gameguard and nprotect thread here, and it doesn't seem as though AHK can get around this blockage.

My questions are, is there a way to get around this that I'm missing?

If not, does someone know of a similar program that can? Or, can anyone reccommend a programmable keyboard that might be able to?

Even if there does exist some way around it (probably), it isn't likely to be easy, and anyway, if they specifically state that they don't want you to hack it and place safeguards there, shouldn't you just leave it alone and play it as is? Some games, like Warcraft, do everything but outright encourage outside aid. Some hate it and do everything they can to prevent it. I, for one, don't like feeling like I'm being "illegit." But then, all I currently have is wc3. Anyway, that's my opinion, feel free to ignore.

There are a few cracks/mods for gameguard and nprotect. Then again, cheating like this is usually frowned upon, especially when gamedevelopers impliment these to prevent cheating

Can you tell me of them? I can't use a mouse, and even the keyboard is difficult for me to use, so I rely on macros for ease of use.

i'm just taking this thread out again to ask if there are any news concerning a bypass of gameguard protection. From what i've read, it's blocking all api's that enable you to send keystrokes to the game...ok we don't cheat...but people do it...with the belkin nostromo, and it works (at least for NCSoft's Lineage2) Im' really not an expert in this domain, but belkin has somewhat a solution (either belkin's software is allowed to use sendkeys/keybd_event w/e by gameguard or they found a way to send keys bypassing gg)
