Thanks TotalBalance (and all the others who helped to make this code work) for this nice script, I changed the setting to 1min and having fun.

Thanks for the kind words. If intersted, just posted a variation of this script to display one's To Do List on desktop. It pulls list from txt file.

Hmm .. I haven't used this little script in a while and now, perhaps due to the new version of AHK since I wrote it years ago, I'm not able to run the AHK version properly. What's interesting is the EXE DOES work without issue?

In the older version of AHK all I had to do was ad the LIB folder/files to my AutoHotKey folder and all was good. Unfortunately this doesn't seem to work now.

the error message states:
Error: Nonexistent menu item.

Any suggestions?

Here's the offending line of code (last line of code):

; User Preferences Tray
TrayMenu:
Menu, Tray, Icon, %A_Scriptdir%\Resources\comments.ico, IconNumber, 1
