Why not use XCopy instead? It's been included with every Dos and Windows version for years, and it's designed for this kind of copying.

Try:

xcopy C:\fromhere\*.jpg D:\tohere\ /S

couple things
1. first run your antivirus on the disk
2. second the files are moved one at a time (with that script) not in bulk so run checkdisk. these 2 things will if successfull make signifigant headway in your issue.
Speed and performance issues with this script is a read/write problem with the damaged disk data the above 2 steps should resolve that problem.
Not an ahk expert but i do recover data from damaged computers often so this is more my forte`

Hi,

Did you try using another recovery software, like OnTrack Easy Recovery (the best I've ever used in maintenance) ?
