Well, I have downloaded and installed WinCAP, but as for the packet sniffers, there are some many of them in that link that you provided. I simply don't know which one to choose. Which one would you recommend for my case?

For RegDelete, if you don't specify a value name the entire subkey will be deleted, in this case {949DBB22-2FB7-4de1-804C-23D495A988D8}. The root key is HKLM (HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE).

I haven't found a single packet sniffer that I like for everything. The two I use most often are PlasticSniffer (light, and I don't think requires WinPcap), and Ethereal (good for more intensive analysis). There is also EtherSnoop.

Do you mean the programm that I am trying to reinstall? Well, at the moment I am working on ''Cute FTP'', but I am trying to possibly learn the whole matter of re-installing free-trial versions with all issues involved.
