My HP Laptop came with a built-in fingerprint reader. It was pretty handy, but the HP software for it required their ~100-200MB craptastic HP Protect tools suite, which I've since uninstalled. Even with all other features of it disabled, it still got in the way and causeed conflicts.

I googled for fingerprint software, and tried a few of the programs I found, but they didn't detect my built-in reader.

Anyone have any ideas on how to make this work without having to reinstall the whole HP Protect tools suite?

I mainly want to use it to login to RoboForm (auto-password storage and filler app), and maybe another app or two. Windows login would also be a plus.

I just discovered Fingerfox, which works with my DigitalPersona device, for which the software drivers never seems to get updated. It might combine with AHk to be of help to you, depending on what you're trying to do. http://is.gd/IFt9KZ
