I was wondering what would be the best way to have a script that is associated to a program start when the program was started.

Right now the only way I can think of is a monitor script that starts when you boot up. It would monitor the list of running processes/applications, and if a program is started that has an associated script (maybe kept in a settings file like an ini file or in the registry), the monitor would start that script.

Maybe there is a better way to do it though? What are your ideas? Thanks for reading!

I don't know, but the method you described may be similar to this.

Yes, that does appear to be similar to what I am looking for. Thank you. However, I'm not sure it is quite what I wanted. I might use some of it in my script, but right now I'm still rolling my own.
