Yes, I love this strip! I immediately thought of this one when reading the joke above...

Barriebyrnes is right, of course... The suggestions above are just innocent geek fun, good to steam out. But some parents push the joke too far, actually giving a "funny" name (often a pun with the last name), which is very bad for the kid (teased in school, etc.).

I wonder if there are some kids named LOLCats or Pwned already?

It reminds me of a (French) strip where the comic artist was observing lot of young kids called in the street had names from (American) TV series (Bones, and some others I failed to identify). For real.

Well, the funniest story I've heard of is this woman actually sued a cake company because they refused to write Happy Birthday on the cake for her son... Her son's name is Adolf Hitler.

Well, on the side note for all of you who are complaining about us naming our kid a ridiculous name, we've found out it's a girl. We are undecided on these two names.

She wants Lucie Mae. Her middle name is Mae and we're taking my last name. She likes the name Lucie. I love the name Ellie and it also combines our names together very well. My name is Eli and her name is Laura (everyone calls her Lala, long story.) I just love the name Ellie but she keeps saying Lucie. My mom, her mom, and my sister both agree with me. It'll take time to change her mind too, I hope.
