Hello,

Maybe some of you know where to find that....
My mouse is slowly but surely dying, and it makes using it rather a pain. I would like to change it, but can't find what I want - the simplest of mice, with just three button and NO wheel (I absolutely hate them and never could get used to it). I've been to stores, searched the web a bit - they all come with the blasted wheel.
Would you know where to find one? You know, like those old logitech mice that couldn't have been simpler....
Thanks!

LArg

Yes, I know, but I find them uncomfortable to use as a button. The wheel just annoy me, and all I want is a plain button, but nowadays it seems impossible to find....

Just rip the wheel off, and assign another key to perform mouse middle button click =)

or go by your local thrift / charity / 2nd hand shop, usually a treasure trove of 2nd hand PC material

Back to prehistory? ;) (the computers of my children still have PS/2 mice).
There are adapters for that, I think. Or is it to plug PS/2 mice to USB entries?

...if PS/2 is the circle plug for KB/mouse, then I also want PS/2...OR...more USB ports...there's no reason to have a PS/2 port & waste a USB port on a KB/mouse...so either those 2 need replaced with USB or it's "pre-historic" PS/2 FTW...

2 years ago, HP was using the mouse and keyboard with PS/2 for a good computer... it's not so old, and always efficient :) ( I'm in this case )

I do not know the advantage of the mouse, but ps/2 keyboard under certain game allows, unlike USB, put a curdent into a button to cast a spell in a loop with infinite duration ( USB break loop, I don't know why, but this is not always the case )

there are adapters, and it seems now that the ps/2 can be plug/unplug, it will be recognized with no reboot...

Some tools we use industry work better without a scroll wheel for those that do not understand. I too have been searching for a 3 button mouse without the scroll wheel. The problem with the wheel for a button is that it is too easy roll the wheel when you are trying to use it as a button and it screws with the combination functionality one is trying to use.

As a disabled programmer with dexterity problems I've been trying to find one for a couple of years. The scroll wheel but is worse than useless!
