Do you mean the scrolling windows on desktop change ?
If so, you should have Vista/Win7 with Aero enabled

Just dropping some feedback
love the script, simple, fast and it works. im using this in place of virtuawin/dexpot
a few suggestions/comments:
is there anyway to implement a delay between dragging windows between desktops? that way aero snap and can still be enabled.
also a edge bump or edge delay to switch desktops would be cool :)

thanks so much for sharing this script, much appreciated

@Mauko:
OK, I've added xWM_WndSwitchDelay to config.ini, a delay between window switching from a desktop to another (in milliseconds). Update "config.ini" and "xWM.ahk", to see it in action.

First off, the delay, amazing. exactly what was on my wishlist. now aerosnap can be used at the same time :)

the second feature was: edge bump
edge bump: when you tap the mouse on the screen edge twice (in quick succession), it moves to the next desktop. this feature is found in VirtuaWin, it makes mouse navigation really easy. tap mouse cursor on the left screen edge to go to the prev desktop, the right screen edge to go the next.

Cheers, great scripting. No major problems so far.

Well, I'm not really enthusiast about the second feature.
First, I guess it can be activated by mistake too easily.
Second, I've released this script as a "bare minimum" to allow users easily modifying it or adding personal features. What you ask could be done easily by creating two invisibles, always on top gui on both edge of the screen. But some other people may don't want that and prefer enableing desktop switching by using the wheel over the desktop area, etc.

Any chance we can get a gui interface to this? just something to show position and maybe the screen number? Also, maybe wheel up and down on the desktop switches to other window.

@Unambiguous: As I've just mention it: this script is intended to supply the basic functions. Building a gui is easy in AHK, so you can make it exactly like you want.

I have not used any virtual desktops before and I assumed each desktop would be able to display its own desktop icons.

I like your program, but I would like to have separate desktop icons for each Virtual Desktop. Is that possible?

thanks
