tinku99 sorry for the late reply.

Any plans to create a unified chm file or web documentation in the ahk style ?

What would the documentation contain? Do you mean then the libdb.ini would not be needed?
This could be made, with a converter to convert the ini database into an browsable html page.

This is pretty much the idea I had after starting this project. The whole structure is made in a way, so it can be used in a variety ways. In example the LibraryExplorer.ahk GUI script itself is just one way and example to explore the collection.

Could we create a template for the wiki that has ahk documentation style, to make it easier to add / improve documentation ?

This project is for standardizing and sharing out the libraries. Any plans to support that are highly welcome. I find your idea very interesting.

Pss: I was long time not active. Now I rework AGAIN on the collection. I had lost all my previous changes.

- Now a simple online check for updated version is done (it asks at first check). If a newer version is available, then a hint is shown in the gui. The check can be turned off.

* General: I have set the read-only flag on all files which should prevent changes from end user (doc, lib, licenses, samp, tools).
* General: Some small changes in database *ini* data and header, without making a note.

* GUI: Bug. If search result have a clear list, then the current selected item is nothing too.
* GUI: Bug. The clean button [X] should set to first entry and update the title correctly.
* GUI: Bug. Run Example button had to be pushed twice to work, if current active tab was not the Example tab.

* GUI: Improved. Some improvements to core script and rearrangements of gui.

* GUI: New. A small notification at right upper corner of gui is shown, if an update to the collection is available.
* GUI: New. Added button for compare two sources. Button is available only, if the source is installed AND MD5

@Tuncay: perhaps you could look into adding this option:

Try to detect which version of Autohotkey is installed (or ask the user) and then install additional or ahk_l specific libraries? - idea by shajul http://www.autohotkey.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=68675

The problem is, the whole script and package design was made for Ahk only. At the time of creation I did not know Ahk_L would become mainstream. I would have to rework. Ok, I am diving again to see if I can make it compatible.

The script can remain in AHK basic, but you can try to find the installed autohotkey.exe and then use http://www.autohotkey.com/docs/commands ... ersion.htm of simply ask the user. In your program all you would need to add is a way to identify libraries that only work with ahk_l because of new features. :?:

I have no idea how to check if the script is compatible with AHK_L (or | and or | and) AHK Basic. To fully support both sides, I need a sure way to tell compatibleness. Is adding new properties to the database appropriate enough? Then I rely on the facts what the developer says.

Or is there a sure way to check it in example via regular expression?

Should the Ahk Basic support dropped? Because developers have installed only one version of Ahk (mostly). Means, they do not check for fully compatibleness with the other one. In example developer of a library on AHK_L makes extensive checks and says "it should be compatible with AHK Basic".

I think that is the only way to go without getting yourself in too much trouble. If the author says ahk_l only take their word for it

I had already converted or replaced some of the scripts in the library to be compatible. But some of the good libraries have not been maintained, hence AHK_L versions are not available.

Which libraries would you like to have included with this collection? Please give me the links here.

Just thought of an idea:
this is sumons signature: http://i54.tinypic.com/2hqb2m9.png

you could do something similar. you could invite only trusted members and they could help scavenge the forums and wiki and other places (or add their newly created libraries) to find AHK(_L|v2|IA|CE|other) libraries and post it to your shared folder. you could then somehow have it auto save new list and update the download link (or maybe the list could read from some site and only you/the server has all the files).

You could maybe even ask the authors to add a "category: <category>" in the comments at the top which your DB could grab.
Something like: "Text file manipulation" or "Excel" or "Hotkeys". then it might be easier to organize stuff.

Edit: perhaps a shared AHK.net ftp account would be safer?

Actually, I think this is something that could be put in the perspective of new integrated website functions, upload -> categorize -> post. We're programmers, gotta be able to do something cool here...

By the way, noone seemed interested in my signature, so I should remove it. But I'll wait til I can do the cool "Appifyer is back" instead. :)

tidbit, generally spoken I like the idea to work it that way. This project is born as an emergency work, until someone develops a better solution. I have no idea how this change would look like and have no plan for now. I understand what you are talking about and will look what I can do.
Would not an online svc repository or similar thing the best choice then? But the idea of a shared AHK.net account is very simple and attractive.

sumon, basically I see it like you. But it would need some time and knowledge to get this done. It is too much for me. This collection was made as an emergency until someone else make such a solution. First, I do a regular update.
