Toralf, I've corrected the issues you mentioned above. Thanks for reporting them.

AutoHotkey.com has recently been moved to a new host that provides a lot more bandwidth and disk space. Because of this, I propose that the German forum and wiki be moved to the new host under the subdomain de.autohotkey.com

Advantages:
Easier-to-remember domain name (current domain is s89775182.onlinehome.us or www.autohotkey.de.vu).
Easier for me to maintain all the sites because they're all at one host.
Better performance.
More database space for future expansion.

I’ve already proposed this to Jonny (who currently hosts the German forum/wiki) and he’s okay with it. So I’m mentioning it here in case existing users of the German forum/wiki see any problems or have any comments.

Here are some details about how the transition could be made easy for users:

The web server can be configured to redirect all old forum links to the new domain. This means that even an explicit link to s89775182.onlinehome.us/forum/(specific_topic_or_post) should continue to work after the forum is at de.autohotkey.com.

All links to the old domains could be searched & replaced inside the forum (and possibly the wiki). In other words, any post that refers to the old domain would be updated to refer to the new domain, which avoids broken links if the old domains ever go away.

Everything else (moderators, etc.) would stay the same. The old domain name (s89775182.onlinehome.us) would continue to work at least for a while, and perhaps indefinitely depending on how long Jonny keeps the account and domain.

Finally, the domain name www.autohotkey.de would be preferable to de.autohotkey.com; but someone pointed out that there may be legal issues in Germany when a .de domain points to a site whose product is based in another country.

I'll probably post here when the transition is complete.

The wiki links might be automatically adjusted during the transfer because I was planning to do a search & replace on the old domain name with the new one. I'm not sure if this is foolproof or will corrupt the data in any way, but it seems likely to work.

The transition from the old domain ( http://s89775182.onlinehome.us ) to the new one ( http://de.autohotkey.com ) has been completed. Links to the old domain should automatically redirect to the new domain (including direct links to specific forum topics/posts and specific wiki pages).

Even so, it's a good idea to update your bookmarks and other links. This is because someday, Jonny might like to use the old domain for something else (or the domain might disappear).

In conjunction with this move:
- The mediawiki directory was renamed to wiki to shorten its URLs.
- All links inside the forum and wiki were updated from the old domain to the new one.

Same here with me.

I get an error stating the page is redirecting in a way that calling the page is impossible.
When I call http://de.autohotkey.com/forum it always redirects to the old address. by calling the old address it is redirected to the new domain again. In this way you get into an endless loop until the browser says what I have written above.

This happened during the release of the latest version: Synchronizing the web site caused an old version of a .htaccess file to get written to the de subdomain, which produced an infinite loop as the two sites tried to forward to each other.

It has been corrected. Sorry for the inconvenience.
