The smallest free pdf creator/virtual printer I know of is TinyPDF, less than 600kb.
I've used it for like 2 years, and it's really great, downside is there's no 64-bit version.
There seems to be missing download link for the installer at the official page but I found it through Softpedia page (direct link: http://www.tinypdf.com/InstallTinyPDF.exe).
Also don't miss the PDF Merge Plug-in for TinyPDF, it's a must, it enables you to append/merge pdf files as you make them.

As far as I can see TinyPDF is a 'lite' version of RealPDF, as you can't set any additional options in the printer's properties (print dpi, document encryption), but there is a trick ;)
1. get WinSpy (open source)
2. use WinSpy's Finder Tool to examine the option element you want (example: enable document encryption)

and then enable control's window

3. ???
4. profit!!!
Although you'll probably have to repeat this as neccesary, it works.

Btw, since we're talking pdf, I highly recommend TinyPDF + PDF-XChange Viewer combo. I've tried many viewers but this is the best there is - feature packed and launches at least twice faster than Foxit or Adobe. It's free but you can pay to unlock PRO feature (does everything Adobe can, and more).

Only 600 KB? Sounds very good, T800. Thanks. I wonder, if it can create clickable Links and Bookmarks.

I like doPDF as far as free PDF creators go, but it's about 4 MB. Then again, what's 4 MB these days?
