Does anybody know of a script that can sort a large number of files into separate folders containing only a specified number of files each?

I have a few folders that each contain thousands of files taken from my digital cameras. I would like to move them out into separate folders containing 500 files each.

Is there a script available that can do this? Alternatively, is it something that could be created using AHK?

Thanks,

Any other restrictions on the sorting? Just any 500? That shouldn't be difficult to do with AHK.

For prepping a large number of files for DVD archiving, I use DVDSpan... But it works by size, not #.
