I was amazed by polyethene's recorder - WOW, it's JUST a ahk script??

I'm interested though to know AHK's limitations - what can't it do?
What isn't it good for?

Or are you just asking what tasks are better left to other languages for whatever reason?

Imho, AHK's most powerful feature is the unbelievably short development time for any given project. In other words, the cycles of coding/debugging, and testing are significantly shorter with AHK than with any other language I've used.

You asked the right Question the wrong way. Ask: Which language is best for [my specific] task?

Example:
While AHK is able to use the WinAPI, you shouldn't choose AHK to develop a Project which is heavy using it, as other languages have better support in that.

It should always be your goal to pick the right tool for the right task - so you have less work.

i think the question was something that popped into my mind and i posted without thinking twice

in my short time experiencing, yes, i'd agree with what u both have said

you have to asking.
What can Ahk don´t do because it takes to many time.

Ahk is an turret capable programming language.
That means. You can do everything with ahk but perhaps
it needs to many recources or it is to slow or it makes too much work
BUT you can do it!

There are many things, which AHK can`t do. And many things, where other languages and programming environments are better choices. Just to mention some things, which cannot "practically" be done with AHK:

Browser and server side scripting driven website
Real multi-threading
Whole operating system programming
