with 7-8 that i am good at i have to say this is true I however started with PHP. but its true the concepts are the same. the one thing i would point out is that IDE like visual studio in fact do most of the work for you and it is real hard to leave it once you get used to it.

I think it's pretty telling that they start neophytes on web languages like PHP. Back in my day it was python and C variants. We just had a programmer leave who graduated with a degree in computer science and knew more java than anything else. It's not a bad thing, just a sign of the times and this mobile device/"make browsers do everything" boom we're in.

Anyway, network engineer here. I use AHK to set scripts to hotkeys (exciting right?).

I air the TV shows that viewers watch at home. I don't have any programming skills for computers, but I love messing around with 3D modeling applications in my spare time. I use an older software called Caligari Truespace and make game models and props for an old video game called Battlezone II Combat Commander. It's one of those games that allows for mod expansions to make new maps and custom combat units. I make my models in TS and export them in the X model format and then convert them to XSI models for use in the game. It's a ton of fun making stuff for the game. Cheers. Leroy.
