I'm already at 120dpi. Still too small.
I was looking for some registry or 'properties' hack that controls the size of that component in particular. |

It said in step 3 of your manual to create a tags.cnf file. This didnt work for me. I created a ctags.cnf and then it worked.
Fixed. Thanks for finding the typo. |

Also, make sure that both the exe and the ctags.cnf files are in your path. If the exe is, but ctags.cnf is not, it'd cause this problem.
To quickly test it, drop them both in the same dir the ahk ... |

my guess is that something went wrong in step 3.
Are you sure you have:
--langdef=autohotkey
--langmap=autohotkey:.ahk
in your config?
If no problems there...
