after some hard work i m done with my first AHK script.
please welcome the ScreenGuides.
DOWNLOAD it here
i think it is a neat script! (especially for a total noob)
please use it (run = ScreenGuides.ahk) and view the code.
then rate it and make your suggestions.
it is very late now, so i havent done a "manual", (will do soon) but nothing is 'hidden' - just right click the tray-icon or the guide-helper for more options.
(i m proud of myself)

Well, I am more lazy (or buzy) than curious, so I won't download this script just to see what it does...
You don't necessarily have to provide a manual, but at least some lines to explain what is the purpose of your script: to draw lines on screen, to display a TV guide on screen, to force the mouse to follow a guide? All of this? :-)

vPhiLho := RegExReplace("Philippe Lhoste", "^(\w{3})\w*\s+\b(\w{3})\w*$", "$1$2")
change: Gui, 97:Add, Picture, gSetLineColor x16 y30 w200 h110, D:\ofirkale\AHK\guides graphics\Pallete.gif to: Gui, 97:Add, Picture, gSetLineColor x16 y30 w200 h110, grafix\Pallete.gif

well.. it is an on-screen visual aid.
it makes a screen guide - vertical/horizontal 1px line at a specific x/y
those are like the guides in image editing software (Photoshop like) but they are not inside any software but rather on top of every thing else on screen
the usual user of those is a graphic designer (which i m).
EXACT position in pixels of guide is shown when mouse over it.
the guides can be dragged with mouse to a new position.
right click any guide to see its own settings and options.
right click the tray icon to see overall settings and options
guides can change color and opacity individually.
the line of them can be set to shown / hidden.
you can save current guides position and settings, or use the autosave every X seconds.
very easy to use and very intuitive.
in development: link guides together so when dragging one of them all the linked guides are moved as well.

Just tried it out of interest and it is simple but effective - congratulations on the interface too. One tip, in the little window for typing the position of a new line, you should make the button have the Default parameter so that pressing enter after entering will press the button instead of having to use the mouse.
